LOCATION
The making of this forest included a training of trainers course. We wanted to empower this community of conservationists to spread the knowledge to a wider audience. We held a training for 10 people and planted a demonstration plot of 25m2. A month later, these trainers held a course for 100 farmers and planted an extra 375m2 of forest.
This was our very first forest outside of Bali. It is located in Malang, Jawa. It was made in collaboration with CMC Tiga Warna and The Women’s Earth Alliance.
CHALLENGES
The biggest difficulty was trying to organise everything remotely. The Potential Natural Vegetation survey was particularly tricky, as we tried to explain how to conduct it through digital means and simple drawings.
