WE PLANT FORESTS
OUR AIM IS TO PLANT ONE MILLION TREES IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS
ABOUT US
Junglo is an organisation started by a teacher and his student trying to find a way to have a positive impact on the planet. Being disappointed by the lack of concrete solutions available, Mo and Chay decided to figure out a way to help any individual take action.
Thanks to the wonderful work of people like Shubendu Sharma and Dr. Elaine Ingham, Mo and Chay learned about soils, forests and regenerating the earth. And, after a year of experimentation and prototyping, Junglo was born.
Junglo’s afforestation efforts make climate action accessible to anyone, anywhere. Being able to plant a native forest in a school, home or farm is a tangible form of action that truly inspires.
Junglo is the first organisation planting Miyawaki forests in Indonesia. But, we make our resources open source to encourage others to help us recover more ecosystems and build biodiversity.
OUR APPROACH
Miyawaki forests grow 10 times faster than conventional reforestation forests. They’re 30 times more dense and 100 times more biodiverse. By only planting native trees and feeding the soil microbes, Miyawaki forests help regenerate ecosystems the way nature intended.
